A. B220 | Elevate the Arts Campaign is an effort to raise funds for projects not covered in the Transform 220 Referendum, specifically projects for the Community Auditorium.


A. This campaign is a collaboration between two 501(c)(3) charity organizations associated with Barrington High School: BHS Fine Arts Boosters, the nonprofit fundraising foundation for ongoing Fine Arts programs and student scholarships, and BHS Horseshoe Club of IL, a charitable organization providing governance and fiduciary oversight for major gifts, donations and campaigns for all types of BHS co-curricular activities.


A. Your gift goes toward funding the identified enhancement projects for the Community Auditorium. Click here to see the various projects. These projects are prioritized for funding based on their cost, timing, and ability to be phased into the current building design and  construction plans. The goal is to cover the cost of all enhancement projects.


A. Yes, donations may be tax-deductible when made to qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Donors should consult their tax advisor for specifics.


A. Funds are administered by the BHS Horseshoe Club of IL nonprofit organization, following established financial oversight policies and guidelines.

The Enhancements committee has identified a variety of ways donors will be acknowledged: a tiered Donor Wall within the new auditorium space, event programs, on the school website, and through signage or naming rights, when appropriate. We will share the Donation Tiers for Recognition at a later date.


A. Absolutely. Donors can choose to give anonymously.


A. Yes, receipts are typically provided for all contributions for tax and record-keeping purposes.


A. Updates will be shared through newsletters, school communications, and future event reports highlighting funded programs and student achievements. Updates are consolidated and tracked on the Barrington220 site.

A. Many companies offer matching gift programs. Donors are encouraged to check with their employer to maximize their contribution.

FAB welcomes volunteers throughout the year and holds monthly meetings during the school year at BHS to discuss and move forward initiatives for the Visual, Fine, and Performing Arts.
